A 6-day hut-to-hut hiking adventure through the Dolomites, from Venice arrival to a steep final descent into Agordo, all bookable independently to save on guide costs.

Practical tips
- Book accommodations and transportation independently to save money versus using guide services. reel
- Allow 2 days for getting to the Dolomites: fly into Venice airport, take water taxi into city, overnight, then bus to Cortina. reel
- Use gondola from Cortina to reach high elevation starting point (Paso Falzarego). reel
- Daily mileages range 4–10 miles; elevation gains 1,200–2,400 ft per day; final day is steep descent. reel
- Most refugios offer bunk accommodations; some have private rooms (book ahead); all serve meals. reel
- Refugio Averau highly recommended for meal quality and free showers. reel
