Sights & Activities

  • Mirador 4 Palos: Viewpoint at 2,700 meters elevation. Best visited in November, when cloud-covered horizons create surreal sunrise views. A 20-minute hike from the ticket booth. Cost: 130 pesos, includes a local guide. reel

  • Puente de Dios: Located in Pinal de Amoles. A 2-kilometer hiking trek through rivers and caves leading to a surreal cavern, with very cold river water along the way. Cost: 181 pesos, includes a local guide. Road access is via a winding mountain road requiring caution. reel

  • Grutas de Xahjá: A 10-kilometer hiking route starting from the community of Botigná (also written Bothiña), passing through rivers and valleys to a canyon with thermal springs up to 40°C. Cost: 500 pesos. Requires advance reservation by phone before arrival; the local guide transports visitors from the roadside to the Botigná base camp. reel
